Forgetting to sign up for our company’s summer bash that was today didn’t turn out to be as untoward mistake as I had thought. Instead I arranged a date with a friend I haven’t seen for a long time and in the end I found myself from Suvilahti, visiting two different exhibition openings, lured there by my friend and her roommate.
We went there to see a street photography exhibition mainly by Coca Dai, Chinese photographer. But the mood in the opposite building seemed much better and we ended up in street art exhibition arranged by Estonia institute (?). We got there just in time to see a motorcycle driving through a graffiti covered cardboard box -wall!
It apparently was the place to be, I spotted Finland’s minister of culture, a really famous designer and at least one actor, just to mention a few people who were present.
I just have to praise the serving idea in the street art exhibition. Treats in paper bags: simple, easy and still looking good and funny!
Summer really is the time for ex tempore ideas, random encounters and trying new things!
