Roadtrip Planning

RU6A3271It’s already June and I haven’t really started planning my short summer vacation in the end of July. I have to pull myself together now! At first I thought I could stay in Finland and do some roadtripping to see some cool places here, but as the few warm days in May have passed and it’s cold and rainy again, I don’t know what was I thinking? 😀

And I’ve been dreaming of visiting the Plitvice national park in Croatia for quite many years now, so now I’m thinking, is it easy and safe to drive in Croatia (and in the neighbouring countries)? If I would rent a car and move my roadtrip there? I think it’s definitely an idea I have to take into a serious consideration…

Pictures are from last weekend when we drove to my cousins graduation party over 400 kilometres. Maybe that sort of filled my roadtrip-cravings in Finland too… 😉

Sun, please!

IMG_8234The last couple of weeks have gone by dealing with changes and adjusting in the new area and life. Now that everything starts to slowly settle and I’m not running around all the time trying to make the new home “home”, I notice that the weariness starts to show… As well as the outcome of long, dark nights or days when you hardly see daylight. I feel like winter has eaten up my energy, not to mention how freezing at the bus stop in the mornings starts to be boring too… I could use some warmth and sunshine!

While cleaning up because of moving, I went through some memory cards and found pictures from last summer when we visited Naantali with my friend M. That day was so hot and lovely. And Naantali was beautiful. That feeling of a burning sun came back to me, when I was browsing through the pictures. There’s no escape to south in sight, so I guess these kind of pictures will have to do. Fortunately we are already on the better side of the polar night…

Summer of Changes

Everybody keeps saying how fall is time for changes. Maybe it’s just a feeling stuck in people’s head because fall always used to mean going back to school and even more so to a different grade or to a different school. But maybe it’s not always fall that brings changeovers… At least I feel like so much has happened this past summer, that my quota for alterations is kinda full for a while.

Maybe the photographic content from my cell phone tells enough… Or at least it shows small pieces of my life during the last three months, because of course there has to be some things that never change: like the fact that picnics during the summer are a must. 😉

A Day With Me

During the summer I don’t really see people as much as normally. There’s always something somewhere, and everybody is sprinkled around Finland so it’s not possible to have lunch or get-togethers on a daily basis. So I decided to shed some light on a normal day in my life, nothing special, just to keep you up with how I’m mostly spending my time this summer… Days go by so fast!
