In the Garden

IMG_7540Our chihu-U is currently spending his summer holiday at his “summer-house” — in other words at my parents place. He definitely enjoys the big yard out there! Well, I do too, when ever I visit. I mean, who wouldn’t want to run free, smell flowers and chase butterflies all the time? 😉

Taking pictures of the furry perpetual motion machine wasn’t too easy though, since there’s interesting bugs, noises, items or smells in the garden all the time…

Weekend @ Turku

14030035

Spending the weekend in my hometown, Turku.

Just what I needed: family, friends, good food and SPRING! It’s finally here! No more recurring wintry weather, deal? All the troubles and annoying stuff on my to do -list seem to be just a little bit easier after a sunny day and relaxing visit to these well-known hoods of mine.

I realized it’s been way over 5 years since I lived in Turku. And the city has started to look more and more beautiful during this time. It has this relaxed European feeling to it, kind of like I would be on a vacation somewhere in Southern Europe… Maybe it’s because nowadays when I am here, I sort of am on a vacation. At least on a small weekend type.

Few Of My Favorite Things

If you believe the pictures that have appeared saved in my cell phone during the last two weeks, my days have been full of doing my favorite things and visiting some of my favorite places, mostly in Helsinki. It feels like I haven’t done anything else than worked, but the photo evidence proves otherwise.

Ode to Sundays

After a literally crazy week at work, what else do you need than a delicious Sunday brunch with great friends in this atmospheric city also known as my hometown?

Or a long walk in fresh air in this scenery?

My answer is: nothing. Especially when the brunch includes chocolate mousse, nam!

Tomorrow I’ll get back to Tampere with this energy-boost I gained today (so watch out J. 😉 I hope this good feeling lasts all week because I will need it, I have one essay to write and a reportage waiting to be photographed among other things……
